Your stomach, esophagus, and duodenum, the first segment of your small intestine, are all part of your upper gastrointestinal tract.
An endoscope is a long, flexible tube used in this surgery. On one end of the tube, there is a little light and a video camera. The tube is inserted into your neck and mouth.
