Parkside Hospital based in London is currently owned by Aspen Healthcare. Aspen Healthcare also owns various medical facilities including Cancer Center London. London Borough of Merton granted permission for building a new hospital. Medicure Ltd commissioned the project and the development of the hospital required a lot of planning, time, skills and vision. The hospital was established in May 1983 with the name Parkside clinic. The first patient of the hospital was a young girl who visited the hospital with a broken arm. The first surgery at Parkside clinic was done by the General Surgeon, Mr. Robert Booth. After its inception, the hospital has gone through different changes both in the infrastructure as well as technology. To cater to the need of patients, the hospital invested a lot for its upgradation. This includes establishing day surgery units and the addition of new theatre in the year 2006 and a new outpatient department building in 2010. The hospital has established with the values of integrity, partnership and teamwork, customized and personalized attention and investing in improving infrastructure to improve excellence in healthcare. Parkside Hospital is operated under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and registered with the Care Quality Commission. Hospital has regular inspection by Care Quality Commission which is an independent regulator of the healthcare facilities provided by hospitals and nursing homes. The hospital provides Practicing Privileges to its consultants subject to the submission of the required document.
Parkside Hospital is a Superspeciality hospital and provides quality healthcare services in almost all the therapeutic areas. The hospital provides diagnostic, consulting and surgical facilities to patients. The services available at this hospital are breast care, oncology, cosmetic surgery, dermatology, ENT, gastroenterology, gynecology, general medicine, General surgery, hematology, neurology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, physiotherapy, and rheumatology.
Various facilities are available at the hospital to improve patients' comfort. Parking is available at the hospital free of charge and the timing of visiting the patients is 9.30 am to 10.00 pm each day. The meals are included in the cost of treatment and the vegetarian meal is available at the hospital. Hospital is equipped with advanced technology diagnostic services.
