London Borough of Merton granted permission for building a new hospital. Medicure Ltd commissioned the project and the development of the hospital required a lot of planning, time, skills and vision. The hospital was established in May 1983 with the name Parkside clinic. The first patient of the hospital was a young girl who visited the hospital with a broken arm. The first surgery at Parkside clinic was done by the General Surgeon, Mr. Robert Booth. After its inception, the hospital has gone through different changes both in the infrastructure as well as technology. To cater to the need of patients, the hospital invested a lot for its upgradation. This includes establishing day surgery units and the addition of new theatre in the year 2006 and a new outpatient department building in 2010.
