  • IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi ‒ Sant’Ambrogio (OGSA) is a state‑of‑the‑art teaching, research and clinical hospital located in Milan, in the MIND (Milano Innovation District) area. It is part of Gruppo San Donato. The hospital is the fusion of two institutions with strong reputations: the former Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi (leading in orthopaedics & neurosurgery) and the Istituto Clinico Sant’Ambrogio (noted for cardiovascular care and bariatric surgery).
  • The status “IRCCS” (Istituto di Ricovero e Cura a Carattere Scientifico) means it is recognised by the Italian Ministry of Health for both its healthcare delivery and its research activities, particularly for diseases of the locomotor apparatus (musculoskeletal system).
