During a corpus callosotomy procedure, a neurosurgeon carefully places a surgical cut through the patient's brain’s corpus callosum. the patient's corpus callosum is a band of nerve fibers that connects the two halves of the brain (hemispheres) and relays messages from one side of your brain to the other.
