A vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure in which a vagina is created. This involves the removal of the penis, the testicles, and the scrotum if orchiectomy was not performed previously. A vaginoplasty generally involves rearranging the existing tissue in the genital region to create the artificial vaginal canal and the external genitalia called the labia.
