An advanced interventional radiology treatment is transarterial radioembolisation (TARE), also known as selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT). It is used to manage liver tumours, particularly metastases to other body regions, such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). TARE has demonstrated positive results for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), with tumor response rates of 40–60%. However, the success rate varies depending on the kind, size, and location of the tumor.
