What is the recovery process after an IVF (In Vitro Fertilization)?

Recovery from an IVF procedure is usually quick. For a few days after egg retrieval, patients should expect mild discomfort, bloating, or cramping. The embryo transfer procedure is relatively simple and painless, and most women can resume normal activities on the same day. Following embryo transfer, a period of rest and reduced stress is recommended. A pregnancy test is usually taken about two weeks later. Routine prenatal care will begin if the IVF cycle is successful. In failed cases, new cycles are initiated.
