Dr. Walecha, an M.D. Gynae from PGIMS Rohtak, Haryana, left her position as Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology to train in Infertility Management and Assisted Reproductive Techniques at Fertility Clinic Mumbai under Dr. Sadhana Desai, who was instrumental in the country's second IVF baby. In 2009, she completed a fellowship in reproductive medicine and endoscopy in Germany, and in 2011, she completed Advanced Reproductive Care training at Assuta Hospital in Tel Aviv, Israel. Her areas of expertise include infertility care, diagnostic and remedial laparoscopic and hysteroscopic operations, and assisted reproductive techniques (IUI, IVF-ICSI, IMSI, PICSI). She is presently working as Consultant Incharge, Fortis Ridge IVF, Shalimar Bagh and is the Secretary and treasurer of Delhi Gynae Forum North.

She also collaborated with Dr. Walecha on a study in which they used Power Doppler to analyze endometrial blood flow in order to determine the ideal timing for embryo transfer and provide the greatest results for the patient.
