How Much Does Septoplasty Cost in Vietnam

The cost of Septoplasty in Vietnam typically ranges from USD USD 800 - USD 2000, depending on the complexity of the septal deviation, whether additional nasal procedures (such as rhinoplasty or turbinate reduction) are combined, hospital accreditation, and surgeon expertise.

Vietnam has become a sought-after destination for ENT and nasal surgeries, offering advanced surgical care with modern equipment, skilled specialists, and affordable pricing compared to Western and neighboring Asian countries.

Leading Vietnamese hospitals provide endoscopic and minimally invasive septoplasty using advanced imaging and surgical navigation systems, ensuring precision, minimal downtime, and excellent functional and cosmetic outcomes.

Factors Influencing the Cost of Septoplasty

  • Severity of Septal Deviation: Costs depend on whether the deviation is mild, moderate, or severe, and if corrective cartilage grafting is required.
  • Surgical Technique Used: Traditional or endoscopic septoplasty impacts the overall cost. Endoscopic methods, though slightly higher in cost, provide greater precision and faster recovery.
  • Surgeon’s Expertise: ENT surgeons or facial plastic surgeons with international training may charge higher fees but ensure optimal functional and aesthetic results.
  • Hospital or Clinic Accreditation:JCI-accredited or internationally recognized hospitals may have slightly higher fees due to advanced facilities and strict quality protocols.
  • Anesthesia and Operating Room Fees: The cost varies depending on whether local or general anesthesia is used and on hospital infrastructure.
  • Inpatient vs. Outpatient Procedure: Most septoplasties are outpatient, but complex cases requiring observation or combined procedures may involve overnight hospital stay.
  • Preoperative Tests and Imaging: Diagnostic nasal endoscopy, CT scans, and allergy or respiratory tests add to the total cost.
  • Postoperative Care: Includes medications, nasal splints, follow-up visits, and saline sprays or decongestants.
  • Combined Procedures: If performed along with rhinoplasty or sinus surgery, the total package cost increases.
  • Travel and Accommodation for International Patients: MediGence offers tailored packages that include airport transfers, hotel stays, and local coordination with top ENT specialists in Vietnam.

The nasal septum is the wall present in the nose that separates the nasal cavity into the right and left cavities. The nasal septum is composed of cartilage in the front portion and bone in the posterior part. Though a slight deviation in the septum is a normal finding, a greater extent of deviation in the septum results in specific deviated septum symptoms by blocking a side of the nose causing breathing difficulties due to reduced airflow.

Septoplasty is a surgical procedure that straightens the bone and cartilage wall dividing the space between the two nostrils.

During the surgery, the septum is repositioned to the center of the nose. This may involve cutting and removing parts of the septum, which are then placed back into the nose in a corrected position.

After healing from septoplasty, you will likely find it easier to breathe. However, it is important to discuss the expected results with your surgeon before undergoing the procedure.

Why septoplasty is performed?

A crooked septum is common, but a significantly deviated septum can block one side of the nose and reduce airflow, making it difficult to breathe through one or both nostrils.

Septoplasty is a surgical procedure that straightens the nasal septum by trimming, repositioning, and replacing cartilage bone, or both.

Surgery to correct a deviated septum may be appropriate if your symptoms are impacting your quality of life, such as difficulty breathing through your nose or frequent nosebleeds.

Types of Septoplasty

There are different types of Septoplasty:

  • Turbinate Reduction
  • Rhinoplasty
  • Rhinoseptoplasty
  • Septoplasty
