- Access: A cut beneath the chin or inside the lower lip.
- Change: The chin bone may be altered (by implants or sliding genioplasty) or shifted (forward, backwards, upward, or downward).
- Fixation: Dissolvable stitches are used to close the incision, and plates and screws are used to secure the bone.
- Monitoring: Throughout their recuperation, the patient was observed for pain, edema, and healing.
