Pre-Treatment and Surgical Procedure
On 16 April 2022, the patient and his wife arrived, and the hospital quickly admitted him. Mr. Preetam Kumar Beeharry remained for two days at the integrated, multidisciplinary Max Super Specialty Hospital, Vaishali.
The patient received a number of pre-treatment tests as soon as he was admitted to the hospital, including an echocardiogram (ECG), chest x-rays, CT scan, barium swallow, cystoscopy, and blood testing. Right URS and DJ Stenting were performed by Dr. Vimal Dassi to treat the patient’s symptoms of severe right flank pain and weakness. The process took three hours to complete and started after general anesthesia.
A cystoscope was inserted by the physician through the urethra and into the bladder to view the ureter’s opening. The kidney was then accessed by passing a small wire through the cystoscope, up the ureter, and into it. Over the wire is where the stent is placed. To position the stent, an x-ray device known as a fluoroscope was used. After that, the wire and cystoscope were taken out. The identical technique is applied when it’s time to remove the stent. The stent was held with a little tool and removed after a cystoscope was introduced through the urethra and into the bladder. Only a local anesthetic will be needed, and the patient was awake throughout the treatment.
Post Treatment
After surgery, the patient almost immediately began to feel better, and his weakness subsided. After the treatment, Mr. Preetam Kumar Beeharry benefitted from a quicker recovery, lesser pain, and a shorter hospital stay. The fact that the surgery was completed without any issues afterward speaks highly of the quality of the medical procedure, the doctor, his staff, and the facility. By making the entire procedure hassle-free and serving as the patient’s single point of contact for all matters relating to the travel and the treatment, MediGence as an organization really came through for the patient. The patient stayed for 2 days in the hospital and a total of 2 weeks in the country.
