Pre-Treatment and Surgical Process
When the patient came on March 2023, the hospital admitted her right away. For three days, Mrs. Daianna Falker was a guest of the integrated, multidisciplinary Medicana Camlica Hospital. Pre-treatment testing included a barium swallow, esophageal pH monitoring, manometry, endoscopy, upper gastrointestinal (GI) series, echocardiogram (ECG), chest x-ray, and blood tests that were performed as soon as the patient was brought to the hospital. Myomectomy Surgery was performed by Dr. Gizem Akca Sensoy to treat the patient’s chronic heartburn, digestive issues, and esophageal irritation. One of the top laparoscopic surgeons, Dr. Gizem Akca Sensoy specializes in Laparoscopic Surgery, Pregnancy Follow-up, Normal Birth and Cesarean, and Hysteroscopy. Following general anesthesia, the surgery started.
A myomectomy is a surgical treatment used to remove leiomyomas, often known as uterine fibroids. These typical noncancerous growths start as uterine growths. Despite their potential to form at any age, uterine fibroids often develop during the reproductive years. The purpose of a myomectomy is to remove fibroids that are causing symptoms while reconstructing the uterus. A myomectomy, as opposed to a hysterectomy, leaves your uterus intact while simply removing the fibroids. Following a myomectomy, some women experience improvement in their fibroid symptoms, such as less pelvic discomfort and heavy monthly flow.
The patient’s symptoms began to improve nearly immediately after the procedure. Following the treatment, Mrs. Daianna Falker experienced less pain, a quicker recovery, and a shorter hospital stay. The fact that the operation went well and there were no aftercare issues attested to the quality of the medical staff, the hospital, the doctor, and the treatment plan. Being a single point of contact for the patient throughout the trip and treatment, MediGence’s organization truly delivered for the patient by streamlining the entire process.
The patient was in the hospital as a daycare patient and underwent a ten-day post-treatment recovery period, during which in-person consultations were conducted, throughout their two-week stay in Turkey. MediGence ensured that the patient’s follow-up consultations were scheduled. Overall, the patient expressed great satisfaction with his care and his encounters receiving medical care in Turkey.
