Although breast cancer may occur in men and women, the condition is found more commonly in women. Breast cancer develops in breast cells. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers diagnosed in women. Symptoms of breast cancer include a lump in the breast, a change in the size and shape of the breast, flaking of the skin surrounding the nipple, and redness on the breast skin.
Yeanus Begum, a 56-year-old Bangladeshi resident, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her son, Moin, was very concerned about his mother's health. He wants to provide his mother with the best treatment available for breast cancer. He also wants to know the treatment options for breast cancer and the prognosis of the disease. Moin searched for companies that specialised in providing the best treatment for breast cancer patients. He was very much impressed by the experience of other patients who had taken the services of MediGence. Moin contacted MediGence by filling out the contact form available on the website.
He also called up the MediGence helpline number directly and asked many questions regarding the treatment options and prognosis of breast cancer for her mother, who has recently been diagnosed with this disease. Moin was very concerned about his mother's health, so, in addition to providing answers to all his questions in great detail, the experts on the team MediGence also counselled him thoroughly. Team MediGence provided Moin with options for some of the best hospitals in India that treat breast cancer with a high success rate. After getting detailed information about all the options, Moin opted for W Pratiksha Hospital in Gurugram.
Moin and his mother arrived in India on 6th June 2018. MediGence arranged its consultation with Dr. Rohan Khandelwal. After thoroughly reviewing Yeanus Begum's reports, she was advised to undergo a PET scan and an Echo.
On evaluating the reports of these tests, a biopsy was recommended to determine the exact stage of breast cancer. Until the report of the biopsy comes, to save time and to reduce the size of the tumor, 1 cycle of neoadjuvant chemotherapy was given to the patient by inserting the chemo port. The doctors at W Pratiksha Hospital decided that the next cycle of chemotherapy would be done after 21 days.
So, the mother-son duo returned to Bangladesh but was in continuous touch with the medical team at MediGence. The biopsy result brought them happy news. Dr. Rohan, based on biopsy reports, decided that it was safe to perform surgery without further chemotherapy at this point. Both returned to India, and the surgery was done to remove the tumor. Surgery was successful. After the drain removal, both were left to go to Bangladesh and will come again to India after one month to resume the chemotherapy sessions.
Following successful surgery for Ms. Begum, she was placed on close observation to monitor her recovery over several days. When she was discharged, her incision looked great, and she received discharge instructions covering incision care, medications, and follow-up appointments. She was also told to continue eating well and gradually resume her activities, while avoiding overexertion.
In Bangladesh, Ms. Begum has continued to recover with assistance from her physician (and MediGence) and has consistently received support from the MediGence Care Team during her treatment. The chemotherapy treatment will further eliminate any remaining cancer cells, prolong her life, and continue to lessen the chance of her breast cancer returning. With prompt medical intervention, comprehensive care, and support from her family, Ms. Begum is on track to have a successful outcome.
Ms. Begum's story is an illustration of the value of timely diagnosis, informed decision-making, and access to expert medical care in managing breast cancer. MediGence has been an integral part of providing care to Ms. Begum's family from the initial consultation through the coordination of her continuing care. Ms. Begum's story is a demonstration of hope, perseverance, and the transformational impact of quality healthcare in improving people's lives.
Yes, you can achieve your weight loss goal without surgery. For many, this is the ideal option to get started. A key factor in weight loss is having a calorie deficit. A person can achieve a calorie deficit with a well-balanced diet that includes whole foods and some exercise.
A person should focus on eating more whole foods while reducing sugar and processed foods. In addition to eating whole foods, people will attain and sustain weight loss through living a consistent lifestyle. Simple ways to exercise, like walking or light exercise, will help to increase your metabolism.
Also, proper sleep, drinking enough fluids, and managing stress contribute to successful weight loss. While some medical conditions may benefit from medical supervision, a person can lose weight successfully without surgery if they follow an appropriate plan and have the required discipline.
