Mahdi Mohammed's Robotic Heart Surgery Journey

Mahdi Mohammed, a 72-year-old man based in Iraq, faced a daunting challenge with a total blockage in both his left and right arteries, and it was recommended that he undergo Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) through a robotics procedure. Pre-Treatment

Mr Mahdi arrived in India on November 7th, accompanied by his son. The Patient Advisory (PA) team greeted him at the airport and ensured his comfortable accommodation at the hotel. His initial appointment was with Dr. Yugal Kishore Mishra at the hospital.

After a comprehensive review of his previous angiography report, Dr. Yugal discussed the various methods of performing Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) through robotics. (Robotic heart surgery involves the use of robotic arms inserted through small incisions, offering reduced pain and shorter hospital stays.) Mr. Mahdi opted to proceed with the treatment after being satisfied with the doctor's explanation.

Subsequently, a coronary angiography was conducted, which was completed successfully. Following eight days of medical observation, he was discharged from the hospital with the doctor's approval. In total, he spent 12 days in the country.

Post Treatment

After his surgery, Mr. Mahdi has made remarkable progress. He is currently doing exceptionally well and can perform everyday tasks that were previously challenging for him. He reports a significant reduction in his chest problems and overall feels much better.
