I am very satisfied with the hospital services. I am grateful to the doctors and medical staff at LIV Hospital, Ulus for organizing the procedure and consultations for me which were done after the procedure.

Ms. Ndiaye Malisa, from Senegal, had gotten treated from Breast Cancer and decided to undergo a PET scan to check whether everything is alright. Breast cancer develops in the cells of the breasts. Breast cancer is more common in women than in men. A lump in the breast, bloody flow from the nipple, and changes in the form or texture of the nipple or breast are all signs of breast cancer. Its treatment is determined by the cancer’s stage. Chemotherapy, radiation, hormone treatment, and surgery may be used in combination.

Ms. Ndiaye had gotten the required treatment and was now free from Breast Cancer. After the treatment, she wanted to be sure that the cancer had not resurfaced. The test was not available in Senegal, so the patient wanted a reasonable option.

Ms. Ndiaye looked for a medical tourism company that would suggest to her the best destination where could find the best doctor and hospital for the PET scan at an affordable rate. While searching on the internet, she came across MediGence. Ms. Ndiaye found the healthcare options by MediGence quite reasonable and comprehensive. She left a query on their website and within a few hours, a representative of MediGence got back to her quickly and asked her to send a few details. Post the submission of the requested details, she got a call back from MediGence to know more about her condition. Ms. Ndiaye shared her case details and medical reports with them. The patient advisory team provided a list of the best doctors and hospitals from different countries. Ms. Ndiaye chose the healthcare facilities at LIV Hospital, Ulus in Turkey. MediGence helped Ms. Ndiaye with arranging all details of the trip which made it all very easy and seamless for her. Finally, Ms. Ndiaye decided to travel to Turkey.

Pre-treatment and process

Ms. Ndiaye traveled to Turkey on July 7, 2021 on her own. The visa invite from the selected hospital was facilitated by the assigned patient manager. Ms. Ndiaye applied and received the Visa within the specified period of time.

The patient chose the hotel suggested by MediGence based on her budget. It was near the hospital. She was received at the airport by the MediGence Team who had pre-booked a hotel. The assigned case manager made sure that the patient was provided with the best facilities at the hotel. MediGence took the patient to the hospital for consultation with the healthcare team. Ms. Ndiaye’s appointment with the team at the hospital was booked in advance by the MediGence Team. After initial checkups, she underwent the PET scan. Completing all medical examinations, the doctor asked Ms. Ndiaye to be regular in her follow ups.

The healthcare team evaluated the test reports and found Ms. Ndiaye is ready for PET scan. The PET scan process was done successfully without any major complications and the results were as per the patient’s satisfaction. Ms. Ndiaye did not stay in the hospital but followed the appointments via Daycare system and was in Turkey for 5 days on the healthcare team’s advice.
