This is the story of Shadha Eskander, a 41-year-old woman from the United Kingdom, who had been struggling with fertility concerns, along with irregular menstrual cycles and persistent abdominal pain. With these symptoms persisting, Shadha recognised the need for a comprehensive medical assessment to identify the root cause and proceed with confidence and clarity.
On September 23, 2025, Shadha reached out to MediGence in search of dependable international medical care and expert advice, seeking structured assistance and access to reputable fertility specialists overseas.
Shadha's case was handled by MediGence Patient Advisor Ms Vanshika, who listened carefully to her concerns and coordinated her care with attention and empathy. Based on her medical needs and Turkey's expertise in women's health and fertility care, Shadha chose to travel to Turkey for further evaluation and treatment.
MediGence facilitated her treatment at Medical Park Hospital Antalya, where she was placed under the care of Prof. Dr Safak Olgan, a highly experienced specialist in gynaecology and reproductive health. All consultations and investigations were well coordinated to ensure a smooth, stress-free experience.
Following detailed medical tests and evaluation, Shadha was recommended to undergo cervical polyp removal combined with therapeutic (diagnostic) curettage and pathology examination. Naturally concerned, Shadha specifically asked whether there was any indication of cancer.
To provide complete reassurance, the case was re-discussed with the treating doctor. During the procedure, a cervical polyp was successfully removed, and a diagnostic curettage was performed. The pathology results confirmed that the polyp was benign, with no evidence of cancer or early-stage malignancy.
Additionally, a uterine fibroid was identified. The doctor made it clear that, although it necessitated separate surgical management in the future, it posed no immediate cancer-related concern.
Shadha travelled to Turkey on October 28, 2025, and spent 6 days in the country, with only 1 day in the hospital. MediGence provided seamless coordination throughout her journey, from scheduling appointments to providing on-the-ground assistance, ensuring she felt supported and informed at every step.
Shadha's fertility-related concerns were effectively addressed following the successful removal of the benign polyp and the receipt of clear pathology results. The result provided her with physical relief and emotional reassurance, alleviating her fears of cancer and giving her a clear plan for future care.
Shadha's story demonstrates how early diagnosis, professional medical assessment, and coordinated care can provide clarity and comfort during delicate reproductive journeys. Throughout her treatment overseas, MediGence is pleased to have provided her with dependable hospital access, dependable doctors, and ongoing assistance.
We wish Shadha Eskander continued good health, confidence, and success as she moves forward with renewed hope and clarity in her care.
