Introduction

Mrs. Priya Teeluck, a 45-year-old woman from Mauritius, opted for breast reconstruction surgery. The Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon is a super specialty hospital in Gurgaon, Delhi, with a total of 350 general beds and 64 ICU beds. Pre-Treatment and Surgical Procedure

The patient care team at the hospital welcomed Mrs. Teeluck and his son when they arrived in India on 27 June 2022, thanks to MediGence’s coordination. They were escorted straight to the hospital, where they met with Dr. Deepak Jha for the first time. Mrs. Teeluck was admitted to Artemis Hospital in Gurugram the same day for an MRI, PET scan, and other testing per the doctor’s recommendation.

Surgery to restore breasts after a mastectomy is known as breast reconstruction. There are various breast reconstruction techniques. Implants are used in some methods. Others create breasts using tissue from your body, such as the belly. Following a mastectomy, breast reconstruction can take place right away or years later. Multiple surgeries over a period of months may be necessary.

Following breast cancer surgery, breast reconstruction may be performed right away (immediate reconstruction). Alternatively, it may take place months or even years afterward (delayed reconstruction). Surgery to rebuild both breasts may be necessary. Alternatively, the doctor can swap out one breast for another and reshape it to match. The doctor might advise various operations spread out across several phases.

Post Treatment

After three weeks, Mrs. Priya Teeluck was released from the hospital after her surgery was done and she had completely healed. They were really pleased with the service and attention they received from Dr. Deepak Jha and the Medicana Camila Hospital personnel.
