Nigerian Patient Underwent Blepharoplasty in India | MediGence

Patient Introduction And Medical Condition

Mrs. Sumi Dinatu Adamu, a 47-year-old patient from Nigeria met with an accident and experienced eye injury and drooping eyelid. The patient was rushed to the hospital and she had problems in opening the affected eye and experienced headache and swelling. Upon further examination, excess skin drooped low enough to cover a portion of the pupil, thus limiting the actual sight-line. Reconstructive surgery was advised in order to restore a more natural appearance to the eyelid as well as restore impaired vision.

Treatment Decision

Mrs. Adamu, through one of our previously satisfied patients, contacted Medigence to find out the cost of reconstructive surgery. The Patient Medicare team of Medigence swiftly responded to Mrs. Adamu with treatment options available at several hospitals all over the world along with costs. The best option, chosen by Mrs. Adamuly was Sharda Hospital in Delhi, which is integrated with sophisticated diagnostic and microsurgical equipment to undertake such eye surgeries with ease. Mrs. Adamu was admitted to the Sharda hospital on 8th March and reconstructive surgery for ptosis correction was performed on 9th March. The highly experienced surgeons and paramedical experts at Sharda hospital monitored her condition for 3 days and after assuring that everything is fine, Mrs. Adamu was discharged on 12th March.

Condition After Discharge

Mrs. Adamu was feeling a lot better after surgery and the pain and swelling almost reduced restoring a more natural appearance to the eyelid. The stitches were removed on 18 March and she happily left the country on 20th March. We, at MediGence, thank the expert surgeons and para-medical staff for performing this surgery effortlessly and wish Mrs. Adamu a happy and healthy life.
