Mr. John Underwent Spinal Fusion Surgery in BLK Hospital, Delhi

51-year-old Mr. John Tengbeh from Sierra Leone traveled to India on 25 June 2021. He was admitted to BLK Hospital for a period of 3 Days. He traveled with his wife for his treatment. Dr. Puneet Girdhar, his operating physician has been instrumental in his treatment journey. This was after he had been suffering from debilitating symptoms which included severe back and waist pain.

The pain would radiate to his legs making it difficult for him to walk long distances and also affecting his posture. It became increasingly difficult for him to lift heavy objects and stand for a long time due to the constant pain and resultant discomfort in daily life. After which he got in touch with MediGence and with their assistance he decided to travel to India to get proper diagnosis and treatment. This was also as he understood that there was a shortfall in expertise and facilities in his home country.

Pre-Treatment Process

As he got admitted to the hospital, tests were done to diagnose his condition. The specialist checked his history, symptoms, conducted a physical examination, and prescribed imaging tests. It was confirmed that John has L4-5 stenosis with instability. He underwent Posterior Spine Fixation, decompression, and interbody fusion L4-5. The surgery was completed successfully and without any complications.

Post Treatment process
