Max Healthcare Institute Ltd. (MHIL) has announced plans to open a 450-bed, world-class super speciality hospital in Pune's prestigious Yerawada neighbourhood, which will significantly improve Maharashtra's healthcare system. The project, which will cost more than Rupees 1,000 crore, will strengthen Max Healthcare's long-term commitment to developing cutting-edge medical facilities across India.
The upcoming hospital is expected to be commissioned over the next three years and will be Max Healthcare's fourth facility in Western India, further strengthening its footprint in Maharashtra. The facility's strategic location in Yerawada, one of Pune's most centrally located neighbourhoods, is designed to serve patients from the outlying areas as well as city dwellers.
Commenting on the development, Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director of Max Healthcare Institute Ltd., highlighted Pune's rapid urbanisation and growing middle-class population as key drivers of the investment.

He added that Max Healthcare's move into Pune is a strategic turning point that aligns with the organisation's long-term goal of expanding its footprint in key healthcare markets across the country. Notably, Max Healthcare intends to build additional facilities in the Pune area; this is the first.
