For more than ten years, Lydia, a 48-year-old Serbian lady, has been struggling with chronic back pain. Her illness manifested as radiating back pain, restricted spinal mobility, and increasing challenges in doing daily duties. Long periods of sitting or standing caused her great discomfort, which gradually reduced her independence and overall quality of life.
After years of suffering and no improvement from conventional treatments, Lydia came to the realisation that she needed a definitive, state-of-the-art medical solution to address the root cause of her problem.
Lydia approached MediGence on September 18, 2025, seeking professional guidance and a well-defined course of therapy. Ms Arhama, a committed MediGence Patient Advisor, was assigned her case and thoroughly examined her symptoms, medical history, and prior reports.
MediGence scheduled a teleconsultation with Dr Stanislaw Kwiekat the KCM Clinic in Poland to guarantee an informed choice before the trip. After reviewing Lydia's medical records, Dr Kwiek confirmed that a minimally invasive spine intervention would be the most effective approach to treat the underlying cause of her long-standing pain.
Based on the doctor's recommendation, Lydia chose Poland as her treatment destination and KCM Clinic as the hospital for her care.
MediGence ensured Lydia's trip was easy and stress-free by recognising the difficulties of foreign medical travel. Every stage was managed with care and professionalism, from scheduling appointments and medical coordination to ongoing communication and follow-ups.
On December 16, 2025, Lydia travelled to Poland, where she spent a total of 20 days, only two of which were spent in the hospital. Ms Arhama stayed actively involved throughout Lydia's journey, guaranteeing timely pre-treatment coordination and regular post-treatment follow-up, which gave her confidence and assurance at every turn.
Under the expert guidance of Dr. Stanislaw Kwiek, Lydia underwent Radiofrequency intradiscal nucleoplasty (RIN) and Percutaneous Laser Disc Decompression (PLDD) procedures at KCM Clinic. These carefully planned minimally invasive operations were meant to alleviate her long-standing spinal discomfort.
With meticulous post-operative care and ongoing medical supervision, Lydia recovered rapidly from the successful procedures.
Reflecting on her experience, Lydia shared her heartfelt appreciation for the support she received throughout her treatment journey:
"I am from Serbia, and I would like to use this opportunity to thank the MediGence team, especially Ms. Arhama Khan, for her kind and professional care in setting the contact between me and Professor Stanislaw Kiwek at KCM Clinic, Jelenia Gora in Poland. Ms. Arhama did a great job in organising prompt contact for my diagnosis, as I had to undergo RIN and PLDD operations on my spine, which were very effective in helping me get rid of the spinal pain that I had endured during the past 10 years.
Ms. Arhama made sure that all pre- and post-operation communication and follow-ups were prompt, professional, and most importantly, kind. This made me feel very comfortable and gave me a strong sense of security, knowing that I was being guided by two professional teams, both at MediGence and at KCM Clinic. My sincere recommendation is to feel safe contacting the very experienced MediGence team for their professional and genuine help and support, just as I experienced with the respected Ms. Arhama Khan."
After receiving treatment, Lydia encountered:
A noticeable improvement in her general standard of living
Lydia's experience demonstrates how caring coordination, individualised support, and the appropriate medical knowledge can change people's lives. MediGence is pleased to have helped her along the way by matching her with the appropriate specialist, making medical travel easy, and guaranteeing ongoing care from consultation to recuperation.
As Lydia moves forward into a more active and pain-free future, we wish her continued health, comfort, and well-being.
