Introduction
A young 23-year-old woman, Aderiyike Olabunbi, traveled from Nigeria with her mother to get treated for her fractured hip. After suffering from an accident she fractured her hip. That is when she got in touch with professionals at MediGence who guided her and her mother through the entire process. Her consultations were arranged through MediGence where the consulting doctor recommended her to get hip replacement surgery. The organization even enabled stay arrangements for her and her mother, worked through hospital transfer, coordinated the airport pick-up, and finalized hospital appointments. She arrived in the country on 5 Feb 21 and had to be admitted to the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital for a period of 5 Days. It was Dr. Yash Gulati who performed Unilateral Hip Replacement in India on Ms. Aderiyike Olabunbi.

Pre-Treatment & Process
The patient was welcomed into the hospital and met the treating doctor. As she settled in, the doctor and the healthcare team came in and sensitized the patient and her mother as to the way ahead. The patient underwent some pre-operative tests such as blood tests to check haemoglobin, white cell and platelet levels, electrolyte levels, renal function, for a blood grouping, cross match, ECG, urine test, hip X-Ray, chest X-Rays, and clotting profiles. After checking the results of the evaluation tests, the procedure began. It started with giving anesthesia to the patient. This was followed by the surgery in which the damaged bone and cartilage were removed and the prosthetic socket was implanted into her pelvic bone. The patient stayed in the hospital for a day or two post the procedure and was kept under observation. There were no complications or side effects of the procedure post which the patient was discharged and asked to check in with the doctor for a specified amount of time, more so for the initial 3 week recovery period.
Post Treatment
Aderiyike Olabunbi was assisted through the entire process by MediGence even so her post-treatment consultations were managed by MediGence. The procedure was a complete success and the patient experienced a smooth and easy recovery.
Ms. Aderiyike Olabunbi stayed in India for 3 weeks for recovery. The entire end-to-end process was managed by MediGence which guided the patient and her mother through the travel, transfer, treatment, and post-treatment recovery period as well.
