Introduction

Chibuike Obinna (31 years old) from Nigeria sought medical advice in his home country about his ailment, Blount disease. This is a growth condition that causes the bones of the lower leg to bend outwards. He made the decision to seek therapy and diagnosis outside of his home country. Pre-Treatment & Process

Mr. Chibuike was pleasantly surprised when a MediGence case manager responded swiftly and requested him to supply some information about his medical history. Chibuike provided the needed information, and then MediGence contacted him to obtain additional information on his health. Mr. Chibuike also supplied his medical records and medical history, which were sent to specialists for review. Mr. Chibuike Obinna traveled to Dubai on June 21, 2021, after completing all of the necessary formalities. The MediGence Team greeted them and drove them to their pre-arranged accommodation. The MediGence staff made certain that the patient had access to the greatest hotel amenities. The patient and her husband were then transported to the hospital for a consultation with Dr. Gavin Malcolm Spence by MediGence. In Mr. Chibuike’s situation, this was the operating surgeon. Post-Treatment

He underwent a Bilateral Correction Osteotomy procedure and stayed in the hospital for 5 days. The operation was quite a success and he was suggested by the doctors to stay for 2 weeks in Dubai so that Doctors can closely monitor his recovery.

The patient has, since then, recovered completely and is leading a healthy normal life.
