Introduction

Master Kapema Henry (6 years) from Zambia was suffering from a medical complaint of congenital midshaft hypospadias. Hypospadias is a birth defect in boys in which the urethral opening is not at the tip of the penis, and when it’s a Midshaft Hypospadias, it is along the shaft of the penis. He underwent the surgery twice but it failed. The child’s parents were deeply disappointed and had given up all hope. Pre-Treatment & Process

On March 23, 2021, the patient and his mother traveled to Cairo, Egypt. The MediGence staff met them and ensured that they were safely transported to their accommodation. The family was picked up by Medigence’s Patient Care Manager the next day for their first meeting with Dr. Mohamed El Bayele (the best neurosurgeon in Cairo). His preliminary investigations and experiments were meticulously organized.

On the 25th of March, he was admitted to the Saudi German Hospital in Cairo, and the procedure was scheduled for the next day. The operation was super successful. Henry was shifted to the post-operative area after the surgery. For observation, he was admitted to the hospital for three days. By the time he was discharged from the hospital, the Doctors were pleased to observe his progress.

Post-Treatment

The surgery went off without a hitch. After the procedure, the child was required to recover in Cairo for three weeks. Henry’s medical condition is beginning to improve. Follow-ups by the doctors and the MediGence team continued.
