Laparoscopic hysterectomy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which the uterus is removed, most likely along with the cervix. The surgery may also involve the removal of surrounding organs and tissues, such as the fallopian tubes and ovaries. During this procedure, a laparoscope (a thin, flexible tube with a video camera) is inserted into the abdomen through tiny incisions near the navel.
