Dr. Wong Nan Soon

Qualification and Experience

• Dr.Wong Nan Soon is a Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist with more than two decades of experience in the diagnosis and management of cancers.
• He got his Graduation from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 1994, later he earned his Master’s degree in Internal Medicine and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 2000. Following advanced specialty training in general medical oncology in 2003, he pursued a 1-year clinical fellowship in breast medical oncology at Sunnybrook and Women’s Health Science Centre, Toronto, Canada, under Professor Kathleen Pritchard.
• He started his career as a consultant in 2006 and worked his way up to become chief of the breast team and senior consultant in the Department of Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore in 2009. He conducted phase I clinical studies at Duke University in North Carolina, USA, after being awarded the esteemed Singapore National Medical Research Council foreign research fellowship in the same year. During this time, he trained under Professor Herbert Hurwitz and broadened his specialism to include gastrointestinal cancers. He also sought additional experience in clinical research techniques and biostatistics, earning a master's degree in health science research.
• Along with extensive knowledge and experience in novel drug combinations, he offers advanced medical treatment for both early-stage cancers and drug-resistant advanced cancers
