Dr. Shetty has an experience of more than 28 years in Interventional Cardiology. Currently, he is working as a Head of the Department of Cardiology in Columbia Asia Hospitals at Yeshwantpur and Hebbal. In 1982, Dr. Shetty has completed his MBBS from Mysore University and obtained his MD in Internal medicine in 1985. He got his DM in cardiology from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI) in Chandigarh in 1988. Prior to the current assignment, he was associated with The Heart Group, Indiana, VA Medical Center, New York, Chest Hospital, Kuwait, and Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Madras.
Dr. Shetty was awarded a Fellowship from the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI). He is a respected member of the Cardiovascular Society of India and the Cardiological Society of India. He has undergone intense training in the USA and India and is an expert in various aspects of cardiology. His specialty includes managing complicated patients with heart attack, acute myocardial infarction, Complex multiple vessel coronary interventions, peripheral vascular procedures, and Carotid Stenting. Dr. Shetty has a special interest in complex multiple vessel coronary interventions with minimum complications and long term success rates.
