Dr. Naresh Kumar Goyal

• Dr. Naresh Kumar Goyal is highly trained as a cardiologist with exposure in virtually all aspects of cardiology. He qualified with an MD in internal medicine in 1999 from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, and served in the Cardiology Department as an honorary resident. From this stage, he also started with training in the temporary pacing of the pacemaker as well as interventional services.
• He then worked at GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi, and learned the handling of cardiac emergencies and care in critical settings.
• Dr. Goyal completed his DM in Cardiology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS, from 2001 to 2004.
• He underwent specialist training in electrophysiology, interventions, pediatric cardiology, and nuclear cardiology. He carried out more than 1,000 diagnostic catheterizations and therapeutic interventions.
• After completing his DM, he worked as a Senior Resident, gaining further experience in heart failure and heart transplant programs. In 2004, he became an Assistant Professor at GB Pant Hospital, where he mentored cardiology residents and conducted cardiac interventions as an independent operator.
• Dr. Goyal joined in 2006 as a consultant cardiologist at Jaipur Golden Hospital, working in tandem with Dr. Pramod Kumar, considered a pioneer in transradial interventions. He would conduct coronary angioplasties and valvoplasties; also conducted pacemaker implantations, and was consistently engaged in health awareness.
• In 2012 he shifted to Max Super-Speciality Hospital as an intervention cardiologist and later served as Associate Director & HOD of Clinical and Research Cardiology. His outreach also started a Peripheral Outreach Programme in Bahadurgarh, Haryana for affordable cardiac treatment.
• Currently, he is the Director of Interventional Cardiology at BLK Super-Speciality Hospital and leads the Heart Failure Program. He initiated a Heart Failure Clinic with the aim of improving the management and prevention of heart failure.
• Dr. Goyal has a keen interest in research and has led studies on smoking and heart disease in rural Haryana. He has also led a number of international clinical studies as the principal investigator. He has also received his Advanced Fellowship in Complex Percutaneous Intervention from the University of Torino, Italy.
