Dr. K.S.M Manikanth Babu is a very renowned name in the medical fraternity, especially in the field of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in India. Dr. Manikanth is popularly known among international patients for revision surgeries. He is highly regarded & recommended by his patients as well as his peer network. He has gained advanced education and surgical training to become successful practicing Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon. Considering his qualifications, Dr. Manikanth completed his MBBS degree (2010) from the Siddhartha Medical College in Vijayawada affiliated with NTR University of Health Sciences. Then, for his post-graduation specialty, he obtained a DNB in General Surgery (2013-2016) from Poona Hospital & Research Centre in Pune, Maharashtra by the National Board of Examinations. Later, moving on close to the plastic surgeon ambition, Dr. Manikanth decided to obtain his super specialty education & training with M.Ch in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (2017-2020) from the Grant Medical College & Sir J.J Group of Hospitals in Mumbai.

At every stage of his education, he has worked with some of the renowned hospitals in the country. For instance, he acquired work experience after MBBS while working as a Blood Bank Medical Officer at AIIMS (Delhi). After 10 months of DNB in General surgery, he worked as a Clinical Associate at Hinduja Healthcare Surgical in Khar (Mumbai), and Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai central. And upon completion of his super specialty education, Dr. Manikanth worked with many corporate hospitals in Hyderabad & Secunderabad Region like Vinn Hospital, and Sunflower Hospital. As of today, he is currently working with Srikara Group of Hospitals in Hyderabad as a Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon. He has been performing 30-40 major cases per month independently with a cumulative caseload of around 800 cases in the last 2 years. Nevertheless, Dr. Manikanth performs a wide array of procedures, but to mention the popular ones are Facio-maxillary fractures, onco-reconstruction, upper limb & lower limb trauma reconstruction, burns & their sequelae surgeries, and also Cosmetic surgeries including Rhinoplasty, abdominoplasty, Gynaecomastia to name a few.
