Qualification and Experience

Equally comfortable with performing cardiothoracic and vascular surgery in adult and pediatric, Dr. Srinath has more than 11 years of clinical experience. He is currently the Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Fortis Malar Hospital. He completed his MBBS from Calicut in 1994. In 1998, he completed his MS in General Surgery from Calicut. Dr. Srinath passed his DNB in 2002 in Cardiothoracic surgery from Kovai Medical Centre & Hospital, Coimbatore. He is an esteemed member of Tamil Nadu Medical Council and Travancore Cochin Medical Council.

Contribution to Medical Science

Dr. Srinath is highly experienced in performing beating heart surgery. Most of his surgeries are through this process. He is also an expert in handling complex cases of cardiac surgery which involves high risk such as preoperative low LVEF, Ventricular Septal Rupture, Ischemic MR, Unstable Angina with hemodynamic instability, and Ventricular Aneurysm. Dr. Srinath has a keen interest in performing surgeries such as Bidirectional Glenn Shunts, Conduits and Redo Congenital surgeries, TOF corrections, ASD / VSD closures, and PDA ligations.
