Qualification and Experience

Dr. Raju Vyas is well known for his human diligence and professional competence when interacting with his patients. Presently he is the Senior consultant, Cardiac Surgery/ Cardio Thoracic Vascular Surgery at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh. Dr. Raju has more than 17 years of rich experience in Cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries. He obtained his degree of MBBS from the University of Rajasthan in 1988 and completed his MS in General Surgery for Karnataka University in 1994. Later on, in 1998, he was awarded M. Ch from GB Pant Hospital and Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi in Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.

Contribution to Medical Science

Dr. Raju Vyas is extensively trained and highly experienced carioca surgeon and handles both the pediatric and adult cardiac surgery with equal ease. He is extremely comfortable in performing various complex cardiac surgeries such as combined procedures like CABG and valve repair, Congenital heart surgeries, Re-do surgeries, aorta repair, and minimally invasive surgeries. Prior to Fortis hospital, he was associated with LPS Institute of Cardiology and GB Pant hospital. Dr. Vyas is highly competent in managing various surgical complications such as capillary leak syndrome, resistant arrhythmias, low cardiac output, and postoperative acute renal failure needing dialysis.
