Qualification and Experience

Dr. Govini is working as a Senior Consultant, Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery at Gleneagles Global Health City, Perumbakkam, Chennai. He is a highly skilled cardiothoracic surgeon with more than 10 years of clinical experience. He completed his MBBS from Sri Siddhartha Medical College, Tumkur. Later on, he completed his MS in General surgery and M. Ch in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery. He was also awarded the fellowship from Indian Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences and Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons. From Hongkong, he got training in Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery, and from China, he has been trained in Minimally Access Cardiac Surgery.

Dr. Govini is an esteemed member of Indian Association of Cardiothoracic surgeons and Association of Surgeons of India. He is known for his high success rates in heart and lung transplant. Dr. Govini is an expert in Heart & Lung Transplantation, Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation, Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery, and Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation. His services also include Congenital cardiac defects correction, Diaphragmatic Hernia Repair, Endoscopic Saphenous Vein & Radial Artery Harvesting, Single and Double Valve replacements, and Tracheal Reconstruction surgeries.
