Dr. Anvay Mulay

Qualification and Experience

With more than 30 years of experience in the cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, Dr. Anvay Mulay is currently the Consultant, Cardiac Surgery/ Cardio Thoracic Vascular Surgery at Fortis Hospital, Mulund. He obtained his MBBS from Government Medical College, Mumbai in the year 1983. Later on, in 1986, he completed his MS in General Surgery from Government Medical College, Mumbai. In 1989, Dr. Mulay obtained his M. Ch in Thoracic Surgery from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College, Mumbai. He is also associated with S. L. Raheja Hospital.

Contribution to Medical Science

Dr. Mulay is a highly experienced and extensively trained Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon in Mumbai. He is an esteemed member of Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons and General Medical Council of UK. His area of specialization includes Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery, Total Arterial Revascularization, and Aortic Root Replacements. Most of the heart transplant in Mumbai are conducted by Dr. Mulay and the age of his patients ranges from 7 years to 62 years. He is a pioneer of using modern techniques in surgeries such as the use of mammary artery as an alternative to the radial artery for grafts and beating-heart bypass’ and ‘valve replacement’ through new techniques.
