Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation is a minimally invasive procedure used to replace a diseased aortic valve, most commonly in patients with severe aortic stenosis. During the procedure, a replacement valve is delivered through a catheter, usually via an artery in the groin, and positioned within the existing valve.
