The endoscopy procedure helps diagnose and treat a wide range of issues involving the upper gastrointestinal tract. The upper GI tract is made up of the oesophagus, stomach, and duodenum. It is also useful for detecting ulcers, gastritis, haemorrhages, tumors, and more. Generally, patients are given sedation to enhance comfort levels during the procedure. If necessary, the doctor can also conduct a biopsy during the procedure.
