Cardiac Catheterization is a diagnostic and interventional procedure used to evaluate the heart and blood vessels. A thin, flexible catheter is introduced through a blood vessel, commonly from the wrist or groin, and guided toward the heart. Contrast dye may be injected to visualize the coronary arteries and identify narrowing or blockages. Depending on the findings, procedures such as coronary angioplasty or stent placement may be performed during the same session.
