Dr. Ranan Dasgupta

• Dr. Ranan Dasgupta is a highly experienced Consultant Urological Surgeon based at King Edward VII’s Hospital, specialising in prostate disease, kidney stones, voiding dysfunction, and haematuria.
• He brings extensive expertise in both clinical care and pioneering research, with a focus on comprehensive management of prostate enlargement, renal stone prevention and treatment, neuro-urological disorders, and urothelial malignancies.
• After graduating from Cambridge University, with a thesis on Neuroanatomy, Dr. Dasgupta completed his MD at Queen Square, UCL, where his research focused on the neural mechanisms of voiding.
• He has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers, contributed to book chapters, and led groundbreaking work on botulinum toxin for neuropathic bladder, cannabinoids in multiple sclerosis, sacral nerve stimulation, and female sexual dysfunction.
• He has held prestigious fellowships including the Edmondson Fellowship at the University of Southern California and the Simpson-Smith Fellowship at Duke University, and has served as a Visiting Professor at the Cleveland Clinic.
