He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow and continued in his chosen subject of urology at Farnborough, Kent and Guy's Hospital. He has proficiency in urology, andrology and male infertility, with particular emphasis on medical and endoscopic management of prostatic disease and stone treatment and endoscopic ESWL procedures.
