  • Dr Hussain Alnajjar is a highly specialised Consultant Urological Surgeon and Andrologist based in London, with his NHS practice at the renowned University College London Hospitals (UCLH).
  • He also holds the position of Honorary Associate Professor at University College London (UCL). With over 20 years of experience, he is recognised for his expertise in male infertility, erectile dysfunction, penile prosthesis surgery, Peyronie’s disease, male genital cancer, male hypogonadism (low testosterone), and priapism.
  • He is fully trained across all disciplines of urology and andrology. Dr. Alnajjar began his medical journey at St Andrews University, graduating in Medical Sciences, and then earned his medical degree from University College London Medical School (UCL).
  • He subsequently completed a Master of Surgery in Urology with distinction at the University of Edinburgh.
  • His intensive rotational surgical training included placements at London teaching hospitals such as The Royal Marsden Hospital, followed by Higher Specialty Training in Urology at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, and Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals.
  • He further refined his sub-specialist skills through an advanced fellowship in surgical andrology and genito-urethral oncology at the specialist Andrology unit at UCLH, where he was later appointed as a consultant.
  • Dr Alnajjar holds dual fellowship qualifications, being a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS Urol) and a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU). He is also an MRCS examiner and an FEBU examiner.
  • In addition to his clinical expertise, he has made significant research contributions, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications, 14 book chapters, and co-authorship of a textbook in Andrology.
  • He is actively involved in teaching and mentoring, serving as a urology tutor for UCL medical students, faculty for the MCh (Urol) Master’s degree course, and faculty and examiner for the FRCS (Urol) revision course.
