Dr Ahmed Ali is an accomplished Consultant Urological Surgeon with extensive experience in managing a broad spectrum of urological conditions, including bladder cancer, prostate cancer, benign prostatic enlargement, kidney stones, testicular cancer, and urinary tract infections.
Renowned for his patient-focused and innovative approach, he integrates advanced diagnostic and minimally invasive surgical techniques to deliver precise, effective, and compassionate care.
Currently, he leads the bladder cancer services at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, where he has played a pivotal role in transforming urological oncology care.
He is also the founder of the Arab British Urological Society and a consultant at several leading healthcare institutions, including The London Clinic, Circle Mount Alvernia Hospital in Guildford, The Parkside Suite at Frimley Park Hospital, and OneWelbeck in London.
Dr Ali earned his Master’s degree in Urology from University College London and completed advanced training at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where he conducted significant research on the role of MRI in prostate cancer diagnosis now a cornerstone technique in modern urology.
His clinical leadership is characterised by the introduction of cutting-edge technologies, such as en bloc resection of bladder tumours, blue light cystoscopy, and narrowband imaging, which enhance both diagnostic precision and patient outcomes.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr Ali is deeply committed to medical education and research. He serves as the Consultant Lead for Simulation Education at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. He serves as the Chief Investigator in an NIHR-funded study examining novel biomarkers in overactive bladder syndrome.
Through his dedication to excellence in patient care, education, and research, Dr Ali continues to advance the field of urology both in the UK and internationally.
