Dr. Akash Dhuru is a surgical oncologist based in Mumbai, India with over 16 years of experience in his field. He is currently practicing medical oncology, especially breast cancer and he has work experience of over 7 years in surgical oncology.
Dr. Dhuru has done numerous cancer operations, especially on the Head and Neck, Breast, and Gynecological cancers. He is also conversant with average all oncological surgeries including lymph node biopsy and chemoport placements.
The author currently works as a consultant for S. L. Raheja Hospital situated in Mumbai, India. He completed his MBBS from DY Patil University in 2008. Dr. Dhuru did his MS in General Surgery from the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune in the year 2013. He did his DNB in Surgical Oncology from the National Board of Examination, India in 2019.
Dr. Dhuru is a highly qualified and experienced gastro-surgeon with fellowships in advanced laparoscopic surgery in oncology IAGES. He also possesses a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) from AMASI (Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India). IMA, IASO, ISO, and ASI are a few prestigious organizations in which Dr. Dhuru is an active member.
