Dr. Akash Dhuru

Qualification and Experience

Mumbai's well-known surgical oncologist is Dr. Akash Dhuru. He has performed cancer surgeries and treated breast cancer for more than 16 years. He has been a dedicated surgical oncologist with more than 7 years of surgical oncology experience having performed multiple cancer surgeries with a special interest in Head and Neck, Breast and Gynecological cancers. He also expertise in general oncological procedures like lymph node biopsy and chemoport insertions. Currently, he is practicing at S. L. Raheja Hospital in Mumbai.

In 2008, he graduated from DY Patil University with an MBBS. Following that, in 2013, he completed his MS in General Surgery at Armed Forces Medical College in Pune. In 2019, he received his DNB (Surgical Oncology) from the National Board of Examination, India.

Additionally, Dr. Akash holds fellowships from the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo-Surgeons (IAGES) in advanced laparoscopic surgery in oncology and the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI) in minimally invasive surgery (FMAS). He takes an active part in the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO), the Indian Society of Oncology (ISO), and the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI).

He has been a consultant in various prestigious institutions like Cumballa Hill Hospital, Criticare Multispeciality Hospital Research Centre, Thunga Hospitals, and Asian Cancer Institute.
