Dr. Ramalingam completed his MBBS from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur in 1979. In 1989, he completed his MS in ENT from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. He has also been awarded various fellowships including Fellowship in Head & Neck Onco Surgery from the USA, Fellowship in Head & Neck Onco Surgery from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Fellowship in Phoniatrics from the University of Freiburg, Germany,UICC Fellowship in Head & Neck Surgery from Netherland Cancer Institute, and UICC Fellowship in Skull-base Surgery from University Hospital of Pittsburg, USA. He had received various prestigious awards during his career including Chief of Air Staff Silver Medal, Chief of Army Staff Commendation for distinguished service, and General Officer Commanding in Chief Commendation for meritorious service.
