Qualification and Experience

With more than 15 years’ experience in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Harsimran Singh is currently the Director of Orthopedics and Joint Surgery at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Dr. Singh has completed his MBBS in 1997 from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Later on, in 2005, he completed his MS in orthopedics from PGIMER, Chandigarh. From the University of Dundee, Scotland, Dr. Singh completed his M.Ch. (Ortho) in joint replacement surgery. He has also undergone specialized training in revision hip and knee replacement from U.K.

Contribution to Medical Science

Dr. Harsimran Singh is the esteemed member of Punjab Medical Council. Dr. Singh launched the “Gold knee” which is a Zirconium-coated knee replacement implant at Fortis Hospital Mohali. The advantage of this knee is it almost mimics the natural knee. Dr. Singh is also an expert in performing joint replacement surgeries through minimally invasive technique and computer-guided surgeries. Dr. Singh also devised a technique improves patient compliance by reducing the surgery time, recovery time and post-operative pain. Dr. Harsimran has also been awarded for his new Modified Measured Resection Technique using computer navigation. Dr. Harsimran has also done more than 7000 computer navigated knee replacements.
