Dr. Shankar Kurpad had completed his MBBS in 1996 from St. Jones Medical College, Bangalore. In 2002, he was awarded a Diploma in orthopedics from Dr. MGR Medical University. Dr. Kurpad was also trained in orthopedics at Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore. During his academic life, he was awarded various medals and distinctions.
