After doing his senior residency at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, he went to Japan for a fellowship in Cervical Spine Surgery & Deformity Correction at Sapporo Orthopedic Hospital under the guidance of Dr. K. Abumi.

He is a member of the Association of Spine Surgery India, Indian Orthopedic Association and Indian Medical Association. He has also presented research papers at various conferences.
