Dr. İbrahim Tutkan is a veteran neurosurgeon with 30 years of clinical practice. Presently, he serves in Koşuyolu İstanbul Medipol Hospital.
He previously worked in several reputed institutions, such as the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital, the Validebağ Teachers' Hospital, and the Bakirkoy Psychiatric and Neurology Hospital.
His primary interests are surgery for brain tumors, interventional neuroradiology, minimally invasive treatment techniques for lumbar and cervical disc herniation, cervical discectomy, and the application of hydrocephalus shunts.
Dr. Tutkan made remarkable contributions in case study research about some exceptional states such as intracranial hemangiopericytoma and postoperative spinal instability.
