About Dr. Cevdet Gokcek

  • Dr. Cevdet Gokcek, born in Kars, Turkey 1964, completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara before studying medicine at the University of Ankara from 1982 to 1988. The year he finished his medical degree, 1988, also marked the commencement of his neurosurgery residency at the Ministry of Health Ankara Hospital, where he worked as a neurosurgery specialist from 1994 onward.
  • In 1995, he took courses on microsurgery at Hacettepe University. Then, he completed observer training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1998. and entered the neuroendoscopy and skull base endoscopy courses at the University of Ghent, Belgium, in 2012.
  • He retired in 2015 after working and training neurosurgery residents at Ankara Training and Research Hospital from 1994 to 2015. After a brief period assisting at Medistate Hospital in Istanbul and Al-Kafeel Super Specialised Hospital, Karbala, Iraq, he now concentrates on being a neurosurgery specialist based in Istanbul, Turkey.
