Dr. Alican Tahta graduated from the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2009 and started his Neurosurgery specialisation at Istanbul University, which he completed in 2015. He obtained a Clinical Anatomy certification at Istanbul Medipol University in 2021.
He has more than 16 years of experience.
He was a neurosurgeon at Iğdır State Hospital from 2015 to 2017 and has been practising at Medipol Mega University Hospital and Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Medicine.
Among others, his main areas of expertise include brain tumor surgeries, spinal surgeries, neuro-oncology, minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques, and peripheral nerve surgeries.
Dr. Tahta contributed to research studies and publications, chiefly in intramedullary schwannomas and stem cell therapies in models of cerebral ischemia.
He speaks Turkish and English fluently, which helps him communicate effectively with a broad range of patients.
