Dr. Suresh Raghavaiah

Trained at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, USA, Dr Suresh Raghavaiah is a Liver and Pancreas specialist and a Multi-organ Transplant Surgeon. After his General Surgical training from St Johns Medical College, Bangalore he completed a Minimally Invasive Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Surgical fellowship from L’Institut Mutualiste Montsouris, Paris. Pursuing his interest in Immunology, he completed a Post Doc research fellowship in Transplant Immunology form Mayo Graduate School  and was thereafter selected to complete the Abdominal Multi-organ Transplant Fellowship at Mayo Clinic.

After returning to India, He was instrumental in setting up the HPB and Liver Transplant Unit at Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana and thereafter led the HPB nad Multi-organ Transplant team at BGS Global Hospital, Bangalore which is credited with having performed the maximum number of Liver transplants in Karnataka. His team has also performed the maximum number of Pancreas transplants in the state and third highest in India. 

Dr Suresh Raghavaiah is a Multi-organ Transplant Surgeon with expertise in Liver, Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation. He is also a specialist in treating liver diseases (Hepatitis, Jaundice, Cirrhosis, Portal Hypertension, Liver Cancer and Neuroendocrine tumors), Gallbladder and Biliary diseases (GB Stones, Cholecystitis, Gallbladder Cancer, Cholangio-Carcinoma) and Pancreas Disorders (Pancreatitis, Pancreas Cancer). He also performs Shunt Surgeries for portal hypertension.
