From the same University, he completed his MD in General Medicine in 1987. Later on, in 1993, Dr. Chandra obtained his advanced degree in cardiology, DM (Cardiology) from the prestigious AIIMS. He had also passed his DNB-cardiology in 1991. Currently, Dr. Subhash Chandra is the Chairman & HOD in Cardiology Department at BLK Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi. Prior to this, he was also associated with Fortis, Narinder Mohan Heart Centre, and Apollo hospital.
Dr. Subhash Chandra has been awarded Sujoy B. Roy Young Investigator Award in 1989 while in 1993, he was awarded Col. K.L. Chopra Research Award.
